Neutral Aerodynamics (almost!)
The Conker is tucked in behind the rider and partially helps smooth airflow. In both computer CFD modelling and real-world testing this leads to a reduction of only 3.5% CdA - a change of only half a mile an hour at 12 mph with identical pedalling effort. A small speed penalty to pay for a big safety gain.

Professor Ed Barnard
"As a trauma specialist, cyclist and father, I know how vulnerable children can be in a fall or collision.
What stands out about the Conker Seat is its real-world approach to safety: rather than assuming accidents can always be avoided, it is designed to better protect a child when one occurs.
To me, that is the real strength of Conker. It is not safety by slogan; it is safety by design.
That feels like a thoughtful and important step forward in child cycle safety."
